Acrylic Awning Cleaning

Acrylic awning cleaning. We suggest using cleaning wipes with at least 70 alcohol hydrogen peroxide bleach isopropyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol or other acrylic approved disinfectants. In order to do a deep clean on acrylic you can t scrub it like you would a vinyl awning you have to rely on the cleaner soaking into the fabric. Some state they are for vinyl and others for acrylic and natural materials. Avoid scrubbing which can remove the water repelling finish and ruin your awning.
For this reason rolling up the awning with a cleaner applied is the best method to use so you don t have to do as much scrubbing. Extra step 2 reapply your cleaning solution and roll up your awning. Use a stiff brush dish soap and water. If stubborn stains persist you can use a diluted chlorine bleach soap mixture for spot cleaning of mildew roof run off and other similar stains.
Prepare a cleaning mixture of water and mild natural soap no detergents use a soft bristle brush to clean. Wipe down your acrylic panel as often as possible at least between each shift but ideally multiple times throughout the day. After you have scrubbed your awning then rinse it off and move onto the next added step. Allow soap to soak in.
It s important not to scrub too hard when you clean the fabric as you can actually scrub off the finish.
